  • What Sets Our Seersucker Shorts Apart?

    The Best Seersucker Shorts?

seersuckershorts_webOur seersucker shorts are consistently among our most popular items and we believe we make the best seersucker shorts around. This is testament both to the timeless, classic style of seersucker as a summer style, as well as the quality of our product.

No matter the color or print, we always make sure to use 100% cotton seersucker in our shorts.

    -John Masefield, "Sea Fever"

John Edward Masefield led a rich and interesting life - journeying from his native England to the United States at the turn of the century to work in a New York carpet factory before the ocean called him back home again. Continue reading

  • Figawi 2014

The Figawi Race, annually held over Memorial Day Weekend on Cape Cod and Nantucket, is the premier sailing event on the East Coast. Outside of New England, the Figawi may be a mystery to the general public. But, to real sailors, it is a treasured, not-to-be-missed event.

    Brief History and Folklore

In 1972, three friends decided to have an informal race from Hyannis to Nantucket on Memorial Day. Signing on their wives and friends as "crew members," this first race involved three sailors determining who had the fastest sailboat. Continue reading
